Note:   thomas baker came from hothfield kent england .records show his wife tamsen (thomasine was buried 10-2-1614-15 .record also shows thomas was baptised 12 daysafter is birth documated in family diary.thomas left england and arrived in easthampyon in 1639.thomas was one of the 6 founders of milford being on public record on the 29 november 1639, on the first page of the towns records, allowed to be free planters , having for the the present liberty to act in the choyce ofofficers for the carrying on of public affayers in this plantation . the milford church gathered at new haven august 22-1639 and shortly after the settlers took their way through the woods to milford ,and being withoput the juridictionof any town or colony , they proceded to organize a little self-governing republic ..thomas was amember of the church and qualified to take part in the communion service ,and had contributed to the purchase of the land and the exspenceof the settling plantation. a meeting house was built in 1641. it had special seats for the guards and a place near them for their muskets. the men sat apartfrom the women, and there was a gallery for the slaves .thomas,s house was lot10 on the plantation of 1646. a corner lotdiagonally acrossthe street from thefirst congrgational church.

Note:   David was born in Price William County, Virginia; served 3 years in the Revolutionary War; married in Halifax County, Virginia; moved to Pittsylvania County, Virginia and in 1816 to Clinton County, Ohio.
1777 enlisted for service in Virginia. David was in the Calvery under "light Horse" Henry Lee. He joined the service for three years and was promoted to Corporal.
